Terms
The agreement, written so it can be read once and understood.
Effective 7 August 2026
What this is
Using Telleny means agreeing to what follows. If you do not, the service is not available to you, which is the whole of the consequence.
The agreement is with Xavier Alexander Torres Calderón, a sole trader, of Bolívar 501 y 5ta. Esq., Ciclo 1, Quevedo 120306, Ecuador, and the law of Ecuador applies to it.
Your account
One person, one account. You are responsible for what happens under it, and for keeping the way you sign in to yourself. Tell us if it is being used by someone else and the sessions will be revoked.
Accounts are for people aged 16 and over.
Your work stays yours
Everything you bring or make in Telleny — manuscripts, characters, worlds, outlines, notes, conversations — belongs to you. Nothing here transfers copyright, takes a licence to publish, or claims a share of anything you go on to sell.
The permission you give is the narrow one needed to run the service: to store your work, to show it back to you, to send the parts required to answer a request you made, and to keep backups. It ends when the work is deleted.
Telleny claims no authorship of anything produced through it and takes no credit line on anything you publish.
What the assistant produces
Text the assistant drafts arrives as a proposal for you to accept or reject. Once you accept it, it is part of your manuscript and it is your responsibility, as any other sentence in the book would be.
Two things follow, and neither is a disclaimer dressed up. A model can be confidently wrong, so nothing it reports about your own work should be taken as checked. And what a model produces may not be protected by copyright everywhere in the way an author's writing is — what that means for a manuscript with drafted passages in it is unsettled law in most places, and worth knowing before you rely on it.
What the service may not be used for
Anything unlawful. Attempting to reach another person's account or data. Attempting to break, overload, or work around the limits of the service. Reselling access. Using the assistant to produce sexual material involving minors, or material intended to harass or endanger a real person — accounts doing that are closed without notice and without refund.
Subscriptions
Parts of Telleny are paid. Where they are, billing runs through the Apple App Store or Google Play, and the subscription is managed in your store account — including cancellation, which is done there and not here.
Because the stores handle the transaction, their refund rules govern refunds. Prices and what a plan includes may change; a change is announced before it takes effect and never applies to a period already paid for.
Availability
The service is provided as it is. It is made by one person, it is version 1, and it will occasionally be unavailable, occasionally change, and occasionally break. Features described on this website may be altered or withdrawn; the notes page is kept current so that a change is findable rather than announced.
To the extent the law allows, there is no warranty beyond what the law requires, and liability is limited to the amount paid for the service in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, and nothing here removes rights you have as a consumer.
Ending it
You can close the account whenever you like, from Settings > Delete account in the app. What that removes, and what this can and cannot promise about how fast, is set out on the account deletion page and in the privacy policy.
We may suspend or close an account that is breaking the section above, or that we are legally required to close. Where there is a choice, you will be told what happened and given a chance to get your work out first.
Changes
When these terms change, the date at the top changes. A change that materially affects you is announced in the app before it takes effect, and continuing to use the service after that is how it is accepted.
